Welcome to the Elgin Youth Choir (EYC), where we believe music is more than just melodies and harmonies—it’s a way to inspire, educate, and connect young people with the world around them. Through song, we teach essential life skills like teamwork, discipline, and self-expression, helping our singers grow as individuals and as a community.
About Us
The Elgin Youth Choir is dedicated to fostering the next generation of singers and leaders. We offer a welcoming and inclusive environment where young voices are nurtured, and creativity is celebrated. Guided by our motto, “Teaching Life Through Song,” our programs emphasize personal growth, musical excellence, and community engagement.
Choirs
We offer two choirs to meet the needs of our singers:
- Treble Choir: Designed for beginning singers in grades 2 through 6, the Treble Choir focuses on building foundational music skills and confidence through engaging and fun repertoire.
- Advanced Choir: Open to more experienced singers, this choir provides opportunities to tackle challenging music, participate in special performances, and grow as leaders within the choir.
What We Offer
- Exceptional Musical Training: Under the guidance of talented directors and staff, EYC members learn vocal techniques, music theory, and performance skills.
- Unique Performance Opportunities: From seasonal concerts to community outreach events, our singers showcase their talents and share their love of music with audiences across the region.
- A Supportive Community: At EYC, every member is part of a close-knit family that celebrates individuality while working together as a team.
